We run two vehicles and nothing else: the 17-seat Force Urbania at ₹30/km and the 9-seat Maharaja lounge at ₹37/km. The driver’s day is built around the darshan slot you hold.
Two vans, no upsell ladder
One carries seventeen. The other carries nine in twice the space. There is no third option and no “premium variant” waiting behind a phone call.
About “VIP darshan”
Plenty of operators will offer to sell you a VIP darshan ticket. We do not, and you should be careful with anyone who does. Sugam Darshan, Sparsh Darshan, the aartis and Rudrabhishek are booked by you, directly, on the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust’s own portal, and the fee goes to the temple.
What we sell is the half of the problem a vehicle can actually solve: reaching the right gate before your slot opens, holding the van while you are inside, and knowing which approach is walkable on a day when the police have changed the diversions.
General darshan is free and always has been. On a festival weekend the general queue runs three to six hours — which is the real reason people want a slot.

About 10 minutes through Vishwanath Gali. No vehicle of any size gets closer — this is a municipal restriction, not an operator limit.
2–4 hours on general darshan; about 1 hour on an allotted slot.

There are few Urbania vans in Varanasi and they are typically committed six to eight weeks out. Temple slots want 30 to 45 days.
How the evening actually worksIf an Urbania is not the right vehicle

- What does a Force Urbania cost per day in Varanasi?
- A 17-seater Force Urbania is ₹4,999 for 8 hours and 80 km, or ₹5,999 for 12 hours and 200 km. Outstation is ₹30 per kilometre with a 250 km per day minimum, plus ₹400 a day driver allowance. The 9-seater Maharaja Urbania is ₹5,999 for 8 hours, ₹7,499 for 12 hours, and ₹37/km outstation with ₹600 a day driver allowance.
- Do you book VIP or Sugam Darshan tickets for us?
- No, and be wary of anyone who says they will. Sugam Darshan, Sparsh Darshan, the aartis and Rudrabhishek are booked by you directly on the Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust's official portal, and the fee is the temple's. What we do is build the vehicle's day around the slot you hold — reaching the right gate before it opens, waiting while you are inside, and knowing which approach is walkable that day.
- How far can the Urbania get to Kashi Vishwanath temple?
- To Godowlia crossing, or the Maidagin side depending on that day's traffic diversions — then about a ten-minute walk through Vishwanath Gali. No vehicle of any size gets closer. This is a municipal restriction on the old city, not a limitation of the vehicle or the operator.
- What is the difference between an Urbania and a tempo traveller?
- The Urbania has a monocoque body and air suspension; a tempo traveller has a ladder frame and leaf springs. Both seat seventeen. The practical difference is noise and body movement over bad road — noticeably less in the Urbania. It costs ₹30/km against the tempo traveller's ₹23/km, roughly ₹1,750 more on a 250 km day.
- Which aarti is worth booking?
- Mangla Aarti at 03:00 is the one regular visitors come back for, and the hardest slot to get — the temple fee is ₹500. The Sapt Rishi Aarti at 19:00 (₹300) is easier to secure and pairs naturally with the Ganga aarti at Dashashwamedh afterwards. The mid-day Bhog Aarti (₹300) is the simplest to combine with a Sarnath afternoon.
- Can you do a full darshan circuit in one day?
- Kashi Vishwanath, Annapurna, Kaal Bhairav, Sankat Mochan, Durga Kund and Tulsi Manas fit into a 12-hour day if you hold an allotted Vishwanath slot. On general darshan the Vishwanath queue alone can take three to six hours on a weekend or festival day, and the rest of the circuit will not fit.
